  Why doesn't the WT close the religion?

  i was pondering the other day, why the watchtower corporation doesn't just sell off all the kingdom halls and hang the jws out to dry seeing they make far more $$$ from business than peddling the religion these days.. then it dawned on me... they need to keep that little sideline going for the tax breaks!.

  Religion is like a get out of jail free card; it breaks multiple laws and rarely gets called out on it.

  So why would they stop the free stealing, cheating and lying when they don't have to?

  Really random... wisdom teeth

  i'm kind of freaking out because i'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled in a few weeks.

  two of them are completely impacted, and one is partially impacted.

  fortunately, they're not oddly aligned.

  I had all four surgically removed at one time; they were fully formed and completely impacted.

  I don't remember what pain meds I took but they didn't make me sick if I ate something first; usually drinking milk will do the trick since you will be too sore to chew anything at first, besides you shouldn't even take ibuprophen on an empty stomach.

  Discuss your concern of pain med nausea with the doctor and be brutally honest or he can’t help you.

  WTS stupid analogies for how to live your life

  one of the things that always bothered me about the wts teaching, is that they take these passages from the bible about a soldier, or battle, or staying awake, being urgent etc, and then use that to justify their points on how you need to live your life each and every day.. for example some brothers came over for sheparding (don't we all love those) and read a scripture in nehamiah somewhere about how the families had to camp between the wall sections to protect the city from invaders while rebuilding jerusalem.

  the point he made was that since your family is right there you be more inclined to staying awake and defending that section more vigorously.

  then he proceeds to use that into gulting me into doing more, reaching out etc.

  You can bet they’ll all put their own "spin" on this as to why it has been shortened, but none will have enough critical thinking to ask why it is happening.

  The witlesses will just be abuzz, like a shaken beehive, to how it is such a blessing from Jayhoover.

  forget the us, the uk or the un they arent really opponents that will defeat the wts, the real dragon is the internet.

  im surprised that the wts has not published this.

  after the internet is 99% porno and other temptations and evils.

  Listening to the wash-towel browbeat witlesses into staying away from the eeeevil Internet is like watching someone trying to put out a raging inferno by peeing on it.

  The internet is their ultimate nemesis, they almost mention staying away from it more than the Satan; I mean he only has a mere case of the cooties compared to the boogiemanism of the internet.

  Things you did to pass the time at meetings/service/assemblies/conventions/memorials

  i'm currently at the meeting again... i'm always in the back working the sound cause everyone else can't seem to work it and i'm mostly on my phone reading jwn or writing, or doodling or sometimes i just stare at the audience to see who's falling asleep or daydreaming.

  its really the only way i can still sit through these things.. but i remember getting the number of a girl i used to like at one district convention and we would text each other during the program and talk about how boring it was.. i also remember sneaking out of a circuit assembly and going to see a car show that was going on right next door.

  that was fun!.

  If you're of "the weaker sex" you either sleep or doodle because you don't get the luxury of doing anything else to pass the time at meat-ings. I use the excuse that my back hurts (which it usually does after sitting too long) and get up as much as possible.

  Since I usually ride with, or take, my Mom to ass-em-bleeds and con-ventions screwing off is pretty hard to do. However when I was a kid my Mom always proudly let me "volunteer", so I would "help" with things like emergency clean up during sessions because the cleaning department was goof-off central.

  The BEST EVER was one year when my Mom and I went to different con-ventions; I listened to my mp3 player, goofed off, got up (a lot), sat where I could sleep easily, parked strategically for an easy escape and got my shight together early so I could be outta there before the last echo of amen could bounce back.

  This year we may have to go separate again and I'm hoping we do!
